For car rental in Montenegro
Mandatory deposit
A deposit is required for vehicle rental - cash or pre-authorization of a credit or debit* card (Visa, Master Card, American Express). Dina card payment only, pre-authorization is not possible. Minimum 100 EUR for the economy vehicle category; 200 EUR for the comfort category; 300 - for the SUV category.
Car rental is paid in advance, when picking up the vehicle. The deposit is not included in the rental price. Credit card pre-authorization is made in euros, whether it is a domestic or foreign card.
Pre-authorization is released 24 hours after the vehicle is returned by us, via the NLB Visa / Master terminal, and the final release depends on the client's bank and the type of credit card (for detailed information, consult your parent bank).
For cards issued outside MNE and EU, the release of the deposit (by the client's parent bank) can take 15 - 60 days, even though RENT A CAR has released the funds through Bank NLB.
The release of funds is NOT shown as a payment from us, only the possible collection of a part of the deposit is shown, if something has been collected from the deposit.
* Higher vehicle categories can only be rented with a credit (not debit) card.
Fuel
Fuel consumed during the rental is paid by the renter. Adriatic rent a car will charge 10% extra for refueling in the event that the renter returns the rented vehicle with less fuel than the amount with which the vehicle was supplied at the time of collection. Fuel is not included in the car rental price. Damage to the vehicle caused by the use of inappropriate fuel is charged 100% by the renter and is not covered by additional insurance.
Traffic and parking fines
Fines for violations incurred during the rental period, which are a consequence of violating Serbian traffic regulations, are the sole responsibility of the renter. The parking and traffic fines payment service is charged 10 EUR.
Rights and obligations in case of collision or damage to the vehicle (CDW)
The lessee / renter is responsible for all newly incurred damage to the vehicle, whether it was caused by his fault or the fault of an unknown person (in case the vehicle was damaged by an unknown person), or by weather conditions (hail).
The rental car vehicle is insured by
a) MOTOR LIABILITY: In case of your fault, the activation of our policy towards a third party is charged with a mandatory police report.
b) STANDARD COMBINED CASCO INSURANCE (with relative and absolute participation). The maximum absolute participation paid by the lessee in case of damage to the vehicle is the amount of the deposit indicated in the rental agreement (400 - 800 EUR).
The relative participation is 10% of the estimated damage and is calculated in the case of total damage to the vehicle, and according to the assessment of the official service and or insurance company. Adriatic Rent a car, or rather, the insurance company, has the right to increase the percentage of the client's relative participation up to 100% if the damage occurred as a result of exceeding the speed limit, improper speed and violation of traffic regulations, drunk driving and other similar violations.”
The lessee / renter of the rented vehicle can avoid this liability by paying CCI (complete cover insurance) provided that the damage is not caused by a violation of traffic rules and laws.
Any damage to the interior of the rented vehicle, tires, underbody of the car, car keys and alarm is NOT covered by CCI insurance and in case of loss or damage the lessee pays 100% of the price.
Additional driver
There is no charge for an additional driver. The condition is a minimum of 22 years of age and possession of a driving license for at least 2 years.
We do not accept probationary driving licenses.
Child seat (on request only)
The seat is free of charge.
Booster seat: the first one is free of charge.
Snow chains (on request only)
We provide snow chains available in the vehicle to clients free of charge, in case of use, a fee of €5.00 per rental is charged.
In case of damage to the chains for snow, the client bears 100% of the cost, insurance does not cover loss or damage to snow chains.
VAT - Tax
All prices include 21% tax. All services are charged in EUR.
Vehicle delivery / receipt (Adriatic Office):
Delivery and receipt of vehicles is carried out on weekdays from 09-19H, Saturday-Sunday from 09-19H.
Returning the vehicle after working hours is possible with the SELF DROP OFF option, to park the vehicle in our parking lot (the deposit is released the next working day after the vehicle inspection).
Border crossing
Crossing the SRB border is permitted with the consent of Adriatic rent a car. Travel to certain countries / territories is not permitted (Kosovo, Turkey, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, France, Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium, Great Britain, Scandinavian countries).
Unlimited mileage is valid only for the territory of Montenegro and rentals of a minimum of 3 days and longer. Prices for international travel include an average of 300km per day.
