Unless you are driving someone else's car... The vehicle is not yours, you do not have a driver's license, you do not have authorization.

If you took someone else's car and did not check whether it has a driver's license, you are solely responsible for any inconvenience that may occur if you are stopped by the police.

Procedure

First you need to report the missing driver's license, and then submit an application for a new driver's license. The following documentation must be attached to the request:

1) registration certificate – you get it at a technical inspection, in which case the inspection does not have to be carried out, they just fill out the certificate for you after you explain to them why you need it,

2) statement of the reasons and circumstances of the loss of the license,

3) proof of reporting the loss of the license,

5) ID card (or proof of registration with the competent authority for legal entities),

6) payment slips (explanation follows below)

Which payment slips? The following must be paid:

1. fee for making a license – 660 dinars

2. fee for issuing a license – 654 dinars

3. republic administrative fee for issuing a new license, i.e. a duplicate – 2,470 dinars

Total: 3,784 dinars + commission for each payment slip (e.g. 45 dinars at the post office). Let's round up to 4,000 dinars.

Do the plates have to be changed?

No, the license plates (which means the plates) remain the same. You only have to get new plates if you lose or have one or both of your plates stolen.
