What's interesting:
*Morača Monastery is one of the most significant historical and cultural monuments in Montenegro, built in the 13th century. It is located on a natural flat plateau in a picturesque area above the turbulent mountain river Moraca.
The church is built of calcareous tuff, a soft porous stone, and covered with plaster. The tuff was mined in the neighboring village of Tusina (Tusina), a day's journey from the monastery.
According to legend, the villagers lined up in a long line of men and women and passed from hand to hand, from Tushina to Moraca, tuff stone for the construction of the future monastery.
The monastery complex is located in an amazingly picturesque corner of the country. The place itself is conducive to peaceful meditative contemplation.
It gives strength and determination, makes thoughts clear. Every year, thousands of tourists come to the Moraca Monastery to feel this grace.
*Svetigora Waterfall - on the eastern side of the monastery, the nature of this region has created one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Montenegro. During the rainy season, it rapidly falls into the fast waters of the Moraca River from a height of 40 meters.
*Biogradska Gora National Park is one of the oldest reserves in Montenegro. The nature on the territory of the park has been preserved in its original form. And its ancient forest is one of the few currently existing relict forests that has been preserved to this day.
Some trees are over 400 years old and can reach 40 meters or more in height. Biogradsko jezero is considered a real treasure of the national park – it is the largest and most famous of the glacier lakes in the reserve.
It is located at an altitude of 1094 meters above sea level in the dense thicket of a relict forest. Swimming is allowed in the lake. Another pleasant activity on Biogradsko Lake is a ride on a rowboat. An interesting route would be a walk around Biogradsko Lake. Its length is 3.3 km.
