What's interesting:
*Durmitor is the largest national park in Montenegro, where the highest peak of the country rises - Bobotov Kuk (2523 m). This is a unique place where nature has been preserved in its original form.
Relict pine forests, glacial lakes and turbulent rivers surrounded by giant mountains paint the viewer with extraordinary beauty of landscapes. The air is filled with melodic birdsong and the aroma of herbs and pine needles.
*Black Lake (Cmo jezero) is the largest and most beautiful lake of glacial origin. The water is clear and cold even in summer. And the color is rich dark green.
A dense pine forest grows around the lake. Black Lake is one of the most popular attractions of Durmitor Park.
*Djurdjevicha Bridge (Most Durdevica Tari) is the main architectural landmark of the Tara River Canyon. The bridge spans the canyon at a height of 150 meters. Built in 1937, at that time it was the only transport artery connecting the north and south of Montenegro.
Today, this bridge is included in the mandatory excursion program, as one of the most popular attractions of the Tara River Canyon. The bridge offers a magnificent view of the river valley.
*Tara River - in its middle reaches it forms the deepest canyon in Europe and the second largest in the world after the Grand Canyon of Colorado (USA). Its depth is about 1,300 meters, and its length is 80 km. Its steep and almost vertical banks are covered with dense pine forest.
This is a rare species of black pine, which is over 400 years old. It is thanks to the black pine that Montenegro got its name. The nearest observation platforms are: Vilino guvno, Ravni, Brojila, Tmorska glavica, Coa (Soa) and Curevac.
