When ordering through the website, you yourself set the time at which the car will be brought to you. In this case, the car is already waiting while you sign the contract.
The second advantage is the language barrier. If you are not very good at Serbian or speak English poorly, you should go to the Russian-language website. There may not be an operator in the office who speaks your language, and the booking procedure will not be the most comfortable.
The following situation happens very often. You booked the cheapest car in its class. As a rule, they are the most popular, they are quickly taken apart and the selected model may not be available. Then the company is obliged to provide you with a car no worse than the one you selected, which means they give you a higher class at the cost of your order, that is, they make a free upgrade. If you did not book in advance, then on the spot you will have to pay for the car rental in accordance with the class or wait until the desired car is available.
When booking a car online, you yourself enter all the options you need. No one will include a second driver who is not actually there, "accidentally" enter an airport tax, although you were not going to go to the airport by car, include 21% VAT in the price and use other national local tricks. Full (LDW, CDW and TP) - OSAGO + damage insurance + theft insurance. With this insurance policy, in the event of damage to the car due to your fault, you risk a deductible in the amount of the deposit value (from $ 400 and up, depending on the class of the car).
Maximum (EW or Super CDW and TP) with zero deductible. If the car is damaged, you do not risk your money.
To rent a car, you will not need to purchase full insurance without fail. In some cases, CDW and TP insurance can be purchased not from the rental company, but on the side, then you only need to pay the company for the compulsory LDW insurance policy. Maximum and full insurance are paid additionally at will.
If you book a car through the website, then the price that is displayed on the monitor, as a rule, already includes full insurance. Full is cheaper than maximum, but if an unforeseen situation occurs due to your fault, you risk your deposit. Therefore, at the registration center, you will definitely be offered to purchase additional (maximum) insurance, which, if anything, is designed to save your budget. Whether to buy it or not, it is up to you.
I will only say that despite the good quality of the roads, Montenegrins sometimes drive terribly. And then proving whether it is your scratch or it was not included in the report during inspection is also not a pleasant procedure.
If you have chosen full insurance (LDW, CDW and TP), then during the acceptance of the car I recommend that you carefully inspect the damage to the vehicle and record it on a special inspection form, a copy of which you should keep for yourself. In addition, you should definitely take a photo of all existing scratches and dents, while letting the car number and the rental company employee be in the frame.
All types of insurance do not apply to the lower part of the car (bottom), roof and tires.
FEATURES THAT CAN INCREASE THE COST OF RENTING A CAR IN Montenegro
I advise you to pay attention to some situations in which the cost of renting a car in Montenegro can increase:
Many companies have a mileage limit. That is, you can drive no more than a limited mileage per day. Basically, this rule applies in the case of a short car rental period (up to 2 days). Each kilometer driven over the limited mileage is additionally paid. Sometimes at a very high rate.
Another return point may increase the cost of car rental. This option is not always paid, you need to check with the specific rental company. In Tivat and Budva, for example, this option is free, except for cases of returning / receiving a car at Tivat airport and, if the pick-up/drop-off point was different and the rental period was no more than 2 days.
The driver's age may also affect the increase in the rental cost. Persons under 24 years of age will need to take out special insurance for young drivers.
DEPOSIT VALUE
When renting a car in Montenegro from Adriatic, there are no deposit blocks on the card.
As for unblocking the deposit, it practically does not depend on the rental office, this is affected by the internal rules of the bank servicing your card. Rental companies remove the hold within a few days after returning the rented car, but unblocking funds in the bank can last up to 30 days.
