On the websites of large aggregators for car rental in Montenegro (booking. rentacars, etc.) there are many offers from unknown or little-known companies.
At first glance, the prices are quite reasonable, BUT........these websites do not provide a real picture (for an obvious reason, not to lose their commission for mediation), thereby misleading the client. For example, an option. Briefly on the contract.....

The site for 3 days shows a pretty good rental price in this category of cars, but then... there is a very brief superficial description of the conditions.
The rental conditions themselves can be obtained in the best case when drawing up a rental agreement, and in the best case you won't even know about them.
Let's just go over them briefly. From the company's website. At the same time. that they are only in Serbian.
1 Puncture of a wheel.
Immediately write-off of 300e!!! for the fact itself. And this despite the fact that the average prices for tires for new tires in Montenegro are 40-60 euros per piece.
2. Here, of course, this is immediately extortion. For returning a car requiring a wash, they will withdraw 30 euros from the card. and + another 10e for the wash service. Total immediately guaranteed +40e. In this case, the need for a wash will be determined by the representatives of this company themselves.
And it won't be easy to prove anything to them on the spot. As a result, a loss of time and nerves........ In normal practice, a car wash on the way back is already included in the price.
3. Surcharge to the price +2.5 euros/day!!!! for the airport tax. What airport tax are they talking about, if neither in Tivat nor in Podgorica there are any additional expenses for entry/exit at the airports, except for the usual parking with a rate of 0.40 cents/hour.
I think the agency itself will not be able to explain this)
4. This is even more fun. Roadside assistance. That is, in case of any accident or question, the client who calls them will receive +250 euros!!!! for such "help"
We can still talk a lot about these and other conditions and real rates of such companies, but the main point is that as a result of the rental, the client will receive write-offs from the card MUCH more than the price that was initially stated in the offer.
As a rule, twice as much, plus the initial rental price. And it will be unrealistic to challenge them from abroad. This is the whole calculation of these companies.
